The Hill has always been your home away from home! Why not reserve a bed for the weekend? A limited number of beds will be available on campus for Friday and Saturday nights during Alumni Weekend 2023!  Linens, breakfast on Saturday morning, and TWO nights (Fri., June 2 and Sat., June 3) are included in the $99 per bed price. Don’t forget to let us know who you want to room with when you reserve your bed!

Frequently asked questions about on-campus housing for Alumni Weekend 2023

 

How much does it cost? 
The cost is $99.00 per person to stay in the dorms for two nights. Room blocks are available at these nearby hotels: 

 

  • Days Inn – 25 South Cranberry Road, Westminster, MD  – Starting at $100 per night 

  • Best Western – 451 WMC Drive, Westminster, MD – Starting at $125 per night 

  • Marriott Owings Mills Metro Center – 10101 Grand Central Avenue, Owings Mills, MD – Starting at $189 per night 

 

What is included in the $99 for the weekend cost? 
A XL twin bed in on-campus housing with a basic linen set for TWO nights and breakfast in Englar Dining Hall on Saturday morning.

 

What is a basic linen set? 
A basic linen set includes two sheets, a pillow with a pillowcase, a blanket and two towels with a washcloth.

 

What should I bring? 
Any personal care items or things that are not listed above. Break out your alarm clock – just like college! And if you need extra blankets, extra towels, etc, we suggest bringing those along. Essentially, make yourself at home for the weekend!

 

Can I request a roommate?  
Of course! When you register, you can request a roommate. Please make sure that both you and your requested roommate have each other listed. If you have a group of people who want to stay in the same suite, everyone has to list each other under roommate requests. Please note, roommate requests are NOT guaranteed.  

 

 

What type of residence halls are available? 
Beds will be available in apartment or suite-style settings. Each area consists of a combination of double rooms (two XL twin beds) and single rooms (one XL twin bed) and can accommodate 4-6 people. Important: The number of people occupying each room cannot exceed the number of beds.  

 

Are children allowed to stay overnight in the residence halls? 
Any alum and their guest staying in our residence halls must be 18 years and older 

 

Where do I check-in? 
Check-in will be in Ensor Lounge (Fri., June 2 and Sat., June 3) while check-out will be in Casey’s Corner on Sun., June 4. If you need to check out before Sunday, please let us know when you check in and we will accommodate you. 

 

What time is check-out? 
All rooms must be vacated, and room keys must be returned to the Alumni Engagement Team by 11 a.m. on Sun, June 4.  

 

Do I have to pre-register for on-campus housing? 
Yes! You must register by May 1 for on-campus housing. We will not be able to accommodate requests on site during Alumni Weekend 2023.  

 

 

Alumni, parents, and friends are encouraged to sponsor college events to help defray the costs. Sponsorships can also allow the college to invite students and faculty to attend certain events at reduced or no cost. Sponsorships are considered tax-deductible gifts to the college in most cases.
