Memorial Bell-Ringing Ceremony11:30 a.m., Memorial Square The Old Main bell plays an important role in the experience of every McDaniel College student. Each first-year student "rings-in" their first day on campus and on graduation day, seniors "ring-out". The Student Alumni Council honors this tradition by reading the names of alumni who have passed, ringing Old Main one last time to show "We'll be ever loyal to thee, till we from life shall part." Art on ViewSKEPSIS: Recent Work by Breon GilleranNoon – 5 p.m., Rice Gallery, Peterson Hall SKEPSIS began when Steven Pearson, Rice Gallery director, suggested Gilleran collaborate with Dr. Katie Staab and students in one of Staab’s comparative anatomy classes. The result is a collection “of sculptural objects and works on paper installed alongside students’ scientific works, turning the Gallery into a cabinet of curiosities,” says Gilleran. She promises a “freewheeling exhibit integrating art and science”. No cost to attend.
